About the Role

The Noninvasive Vascular Technologist understands all aspects of vascular disease and performs different types of noninvasive vascular testing with accuracy and analytical skills, in accordance with BHSF and IAC standards. The Noninvasive Vascular Technologist is responsible for the operation of the laboratory equipment, and for performing and communicating results of all types of noninvasive vascular testing to other healthcare providers. The technologist should maintain a high standard of medical ethics at all times and should be self-motivated to increase their level of understanding and knowledge of vascular diseases as well as new procedures and applications as they evolve.

Responsibilities

  • Perform different types of noninvasive vascular testing with accuracy and analytical skills.
  • Operate laboratory equipment in accordance with BHSF and IAC standards.
  • Communicate results of noninvasive vascular testing to healthcare providers.
  • Maintain a high standard of medical ethics.
  • Increase understanding and knowledge of vascular diseases, procedures, and applications.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED, or equivalent training or experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
  • CCI Registered Vascular Sonographer or ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologist.
  • Graduate from an accredited allied health program, preferably with a separate track on cardiovascular ultrasonography.
  • Must acquire within 1 year of employment: ARDMS - Registered Vascular Technologist or CCI - Registered Vascular Sonographer.

Pay

Estimated pay range for this position is $32.12 - $44.97 per hour depending on experience.
