About the role
The NIH Disability Health Research Program Fellowship offers recent Post-Master's and Postdoctoral candidates an immersive STEM learning experience. The mission is to advance innovative and responsible research that promotes the health and well-being of people with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Learn how to apply scientific and technical knowledge in public health to federal science administration and policy making.
- Engage in stimulating, planning, directing, and evaluating a portfolio of activities for a research program.
- Inform or influence policy and processes related to disability health research.
- Engage with disability communities to support research initiatives.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older at the time of application.
- Must have received a master's or doctoral degree within the last five years of the appointment start date.
- Citizenship: U.S. citizens, Lawful Permanent Residents (LPR), and foreign nationals.

- Stipend rates are determined by NIH officials and are based on the candidate’s academic and professional background.
