NIGHTS - Warehouse Lead

About the role

The Warehouse Lead at Kenco Logistics is responsible for coaching and training warehouse associates, ensuring they fulfill their daily tasks. Responsibilities may vary depending on the specific department, potentially including shipping/receiving, packaging, inventory control, material handling, or forklift operation.

Responsibilities

• Train new warehouse associates and forklift drivers and conduct PIT and annual recertification training.
• Conduct EIP, performance, and maintenance observations.
• Safely operate powered industrial equipment to move products or materials for distribution.
• Complete applicable paperwork per standard operating procedures and regulatory agencies.
• Participate in inventory/cycle count activities and report variances to leadership.
• Perform daily safety inspections and ensure facility is inspection ready.
• Communicate and report any incidents to supervisor.
• Review and analyze daily production reports.
• Serve as backup to other warehouse roles as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years prior warehouse/distribution operations experience.
• Minimum 6 months experience related leadership or supervisory experience in a distribution environment.
• Must be a licensed forklift operator or able to obtain a Forklift Operator license.
