Night Transit Driver

About the role
In this position, you will be transporting loaded and empty trailers, singles or doubles, from GFS Distribution Centers or from point-to-point via night transit. Night shifts mean you’ll be home every day, and there's no touch freight required. Feel safe and secure at a company that values and respects you. Newly licensed drivers are encouraged to apply!
Schedule
Sunday - Thursday, 7pm - 5am (start/end times may vary)
Pay
Our drivers average $95,000-105,000. Component pay includes pay per day and per trip.

Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- Class A CDL License at hire
- Minimum of 2 years driving experience with your class A
- Doubles (T) endorsement required
- Must be able to push and pull up to 50lbs (connecting trailers)
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork and follow verbal instructions)
- Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
- Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
- Must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent
- No auto restriction; must be able to operate a 10 speed transmission
