About the Role

This position provides leadership and supervision to Mental Health Worker-Night staff, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and applicable laws. The role involves planning and directing work, managing schedules, and assigning duties to subordinate staff. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, conducting performance evaluations, and addressing staff performance through coaching, counseling, and corrective action. The supervisor ensures appropriate staff training and education programs are provided and conducts regular staff meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and assist in coordinating emergency staff coverage.
  • Provide emergency night coverage in lodge units, including repositioning staff or covering shifts as needed.
  • Assist in crisis intervention and support staff during stressful situations.
  • Debrief crisis situations with childcare staff to assess, evaluate, and improve safety and intervention techniques.
  • Coach staff on YBGR policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Provide transportation assistance to lodge units when possible.
  • Conduct rounds of all lodge units, visiting each at least once per shift, and ensure all campus buildings are secure.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements related to business and customer services.

Requirements

  • 21 years of age or older.
  • Must pass criminal record and child abuse registry background checks as required by the State of Montana.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1.5 years of professional experience working with youth with emotional and behavioral issues in a residential setting.
  • Valid driver’s license to operate a passenger vehicle.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days and maintain certification.
  • Successfully complete and maintain certification in an identified Violence Intervention and Prevention Program.
