About the role

As a Hydration Plant Operator, you will play a key role in producing high-quality lime products by operating and maintaining computer-controlled hydration systems, ensuring safe operations, meeting quality standards, and supporting efficient plant performance.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor computer-controlled hydration systems and associated equipment
  • Perform quality tests and process checks to ensure products meet specifications
  • Load finished product for customer shipment by rail or truck; generate BOLs and shipping records
  • Maintain raw material and supply inventories, including purchase order requests
  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on plant equipment
  • Monitor dust control systems and support environmental compliance requirements
  • Maintain accurate production, shipping, and operator records in computerized systems
  • Uphold safety, housekeeping, and operational excellence standards across the facility

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work nightshift and respond to call-ins as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance
  • Experience working in a chemical or chemical processing plant
  • Experience with computer-controlled or automated process systems
  • Proficiency with computers, keyboarding, and Microsoft Windows
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Forklift, telehandler, or mobile equipment operation experience
