Night Shift Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Operate out of the Grand Rapids location.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment and machinery to minimize downtime.
• Ensure equipment safety.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and resolve all equipment malfunction of plant machinery.
• Assemble, disassemble, and upgrade converting/extrusion equipment as required.
• Document all maintenance activities and champion preventative maintenance programs.
• Take proactive measures to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Experience with troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Ability to complete tasks with limited supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and blueprint drawings.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Maintain an acceptable attendance record.
• Ability to train on days before moving to nights.

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent in English & Mathematics.
• A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in a Maintenance role.
• Must have Mechanical experience. Electrical experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.

Position Type

Full time. Overtime expected per business demand.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Endure elevated temperature levels.
