Brief Description
- Read and job prints for all product specifications, including dimensions, tolerances, inspection, and tooling instructions.
- Operate machine controls to cycle through production operations, set up, adjust tool positions, and change tools.
- Review and monitor machine operating criteria such as cycle time and spindle RPM.
- Install specified collets, bushings, and stock pushers onto the stock feeding mechanism and load bar stock into it.
- Install and adjust specified cams, gears, and stops to control stock and tool movements at each station.
- Change, position, and secure tools in tool holders using a tool monitoring system and presetting equipment.
- Perform first piece sample inspection according to the operation control plan using qualified measuring devices.
- Maintain all lubricants and coolants, and perform other operator maintenance tasks on the machine.
- Collect and communicate data in Epicor and other applications.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities using tools like brainstorming, C&E, and tool tryout sheets.
- Manage multiple machines simultaneously.
- Deburr parts as necessary.
- Work with a positive attitude, reliability, and a team-player mindset.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior CNC machining experience required.
Hours
The hours for this position are 3p-1am Monday - Thursday.
