Job Description

Notifies and calls other departments or physicians when necessary and places appropriate information on the chart, forms, computer, and electronic record. Accesses the medication room to place medications in a secure area upon arrival to the floor. Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrade skills. Supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department. Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and accurately documents and monitor activities as needed. Interacts with patients in a manner appropriate to their age, acuity, and culture. Posts pertinent patient data in a timely manner. Responds appropriately in emergency situations. Performs indirect patient care duties related to admission, transfer, and discharge. Performs other duties as assigned.

- Ability to learn and apply computer-related applications and programs, including using electronic keyboards and other peripheral devices.

- Skills in greeting new patients, maintaining accurate lists of telephone numbers, and assisting with patient transfers.
- Demonstrates proficient knowledge of diagnostic procedures, supply maintenance, and auditing of national patient safety goals.
- Understands the electronic medical record and uses it proficiently for retrieval of patient information under confidentiality guidelines.
Education
- High School Grad or Equiv.
- Associate.
Field Of Study
- in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Human Nutrition or nutrition-related field.
Work Experience
- 1+ administrative support in a healthcare setting.

- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS).
