This position is a 12-hour rotating night shift schedule (7pm to 7am).
Responsibilities
- Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment, such as production machines, conveyor systems, and equipment, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications.
- Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
- Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas, using hand tools and power tools.
- Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
- Removes and replaces worn and defective parts of drive mechanisms or hydraulic systems, using hand tools and power tools, and following blueprints, diagrams, and service manuals.
- Follows all safety guidelines and company policies.
- Works overtime as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance with exposure to machinery, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read, understand, and comprehend written or oral instructions, technical data, blueprints, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Must have own tools and possess good mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot machinery.
- Ability to properly use all power and non-power hand tools to safely perform job tasks.
- Ability to operate a forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, and obtain annual certification.
Physical Requirements
- Works in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, twisting, crouching, push/pull, and reaching above shoulders.
- Hand/finger dexterity required.
Schedule
12-hour rotating night shift (7pm to 7am).
