About the role
Transdev in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced Night Shift A - Level Fleet Automotive Mechanic to bolster our team. This position is for our Night shift hours of 11pm to 7:30am. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automotive engines across various vehicles and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs on engines.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs.
- Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
- Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for engines.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mechanic.
- CDL Driver's License required.
- ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.
- Mechanic’s Tool Set subject to a DOT physical exam and DOT drug testing.
Qualifications
- The essential functions of this position require the ability to: Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations. Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.

- Strong communication and mentoring skills.

- Competitive compensation package of minimum $23.00 – Maximum $30.00 $2.00 shift differential offered.

Pay
$23.00 – $30.00 per hour, plus $2.00 shift differential.
