Fleet Mechanic - Night Shift

Responsibilities

• Help maintain and repair class 8 trucks, trailers.
• Including hydraulic repair, brake work, electrical repairs and welding.
• May perform service repairs in the field.
• May have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of units from small fleet vehicles, class 8 trucks and trailers.
• Complete all paperwork that may be necessary.
• Must have own basic hand tools, Knife River does provide job specific, any large tooling needed and has a replacement policy.
• Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous Mechanical experience on class 8 trucks and trailers.
• Strong trouble shooting skills.
• Welding and fabrication experience desirable.
• Ability to pass a pre- employment criminal background check, physical/functional exam and drug screen.
• Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members.
