Night Shift Data Center Technician, ADC InfraOps DCO

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the launch team for our new Fredericksburg, VA site! You'll be based primarily in Fredericksburg as we scale operations. During the initial phase, which could be several months, travel to Stafford, Louisa, and Manassas may be required to support operational needs and training while the Fredericksburg sites ramp up to full capacity. About the role

The Data Center Technician position will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations. This role involves in-depth hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair, as well as participating in an on-call rotation. You may be assigned to a facility still under development, which could require travel to established locations for training until your designated site becomes fully operational.

Candidates must be able to travel (over 50 miles) or commute (less than 50 miles) to active data center sites as required by business needs. This position requires the candidate to be a US citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility. After start, the selected candidate must obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and satisfy other security-related requirements.

Responsibilities

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds
• Work in a 24/7 operational environment and participate in on-call rotation, providing after-hours support as needed
• Perform in-depth hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair
• Some regional travel may be required
• Work in cramped spaces or elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines
• Manage work and priorities through a ticketing system
• Apply cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
• Work in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment)

Requirements

• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience
• 1+ years of computer networking experience
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
• Ability to work any day or evening shifts throughout the week

Pay

$30.00 - $54.00 USD hourly for roles based in Fredericksburg, VA or Stafford, VA.
