Responsibilities

• Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins by size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Sort and store perishable goods in refrigerated rooms.
• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or stock items and distribute to production workers or assembly line.
• Assemble customer orders from stock, place orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to packing station or shipping department in preparation for shipping.
• Mark materials with identifying information.
• Open bales, crates, and other containers.
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Assist in billing process.
• Arrange stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers by location.
• Use computer to enter records.
• Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay

Hourly pay range: $21 – $22 USD
