NIGHT MANAGER

Responsibilities

• Lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds (occasionally over 50 pounds).
• Achieve desired gross profit and productivity levels.
• Project sales, product movement, and labor needs.
• Manage and motivate staff, including recruitment, training, development, and adherence to HR procedures (appraisals, discipline, etc.) in accordance with company policies and employment laws.
• Oversee cash and payment systems, prioritizing staff and customer safety.
• Manage, maintain, and report on merchandise and non-merchandise stock.
• Maintain upkeep and condition of all equipment and fixtures on premises.
• Manage health, safety, security, and emergency systems, ensuring staff and customer awareness in compliance with company policy and relevant law.
• Monitor and communicate competitor activity, pricing, and tactics to the Store Manager.
• Attend meetings and contribute to company strategy and policy-making.
• Establish daily work assignments and priorities for store employees.
• Receive and unload truck deliveries using available equipment and established guidelines.
• Conduct store closing procedures.
• Perform basic housekeeping duties (mopping, sweeping, sanitizing, etc.).
• Complete required forms, records, reports, and verify receipts as needed.
• Order merchandise and supplies according to established guidelines.
• Stand for extended periods to perform job functions.
• Develop personal skills and capability through ongoing training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Follow company dress code and established safety policies and procedures.
• Adhere to written and oral instructions.
• Work well with others.
• Fluent in English.
• Eyesight corrected to 20/20.
• Hearing corrected to normal range.
• Full range of motion in shoulders, arms, hands, legs, and feet.
• Knowledge of total store operations.
