NIGHT MANAGER

Essential Job Functions

• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Achieves desired gross profit
• Achieves desired level of productivity
• Projects sales, product movement, labor needs
• Manage and motivate staff, recruit staff, train and develop staff, according to company policies and employment laws, and ensure relevant HR procedures are followed (appraisals, discipline, etc.)
• Manage cash and payment systems in accordance with company procedures and policies, at all times with staff and customer safety as the uppermost priority
• Manage, maintain and report as necessary all merchandise and non-merchandise stock
• Manage upkeep and condition of all equipment, fixtures, etc. on premises
• Manage health and safety, security, and emergency systems, capabilities and staff and customer awareness, according to company policy and relevant law
• Seek and continuously develop knowledge and information about competitor activity, pricing and tactics, and communicate this to Store Manager
• Attend meetings and contribute to company strategy and policy-making as required
• Establishes daily work assignments and priorities for store employees
• Receives and unloads truck deliveries using available equipment and according to established guidelines
• Conducts store closing procedures

Secondary Job Functions

• Performs basic housekeeping duties using available equipment (mops, brooms, floor scrubbing machines, sanitizing equipment, etc.)
• Ability to lift and move items over 50 pounds
• Follow established guidelines for completion of all required forms, records, reports and verify receipts
• May order merchandise and supplies according to established guidelines
• Standing for extended periods of time to perform job functions
• Develop personal skills and capability through on-going training, as provided by the company or elsewhere subject to Company approval
• Other duties as assigned
