Night Loader Operator/Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a Night Pit Loader Operator / Maintenance at our quarry located in Springdale, Arkansas. The successful candidate will be motivated and have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loader to move and load shot rock, crushed stone, or overburden safely and efficiently.
• Maintain consistent feed to the plant/crusher while minimizing downtime and spillage.
• Perform plant maintenance and clean up when needed.
• Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues or needed repairs.
• Assist with maintaining haul roads, loading areas, and stockpiles to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow.
• Communicate effectively with the plant operator, haul truck drivers, and other pit personnel using radios and hand signals.
• Follow all company policies, OSHA/MSHA/Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor and assist with other areas as necessary.
• Cross-train and assist in other areas of the operation as needed.

Requirements

• Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
• At least one year of experience operating a large-size wheel loader (e.g., CAT 988, CAT 992, Komatsu WA500-8, or Komatsu WA600-8).
• Experience operating a variety of heavy equipment (dozer, track hoe, skid steer) preferred.
• General mechanical knowledge.
• Previous fixed plant maintenance or related industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of wash plant and crusher equipment a plus.
• Self-starter with the ability to work without close supervision.
• Physical ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, lift/move up to 50 lbs., and tolerate exposure to dust.
• Previous experience working in a mining environment preferred.
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime, weekends, or different shifts as production requires.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Must pass a drug screen at any time.
• Must provide documentation to prove identity and eligibility for authorization to work in the U.S.
