Night Driver CDL

Position Summary

Granite City is seeking a professional CDL Driver to join their delivery team in Chicopee, MA. Hours are approximately 7:00 PM-3:30 AM, Monday through Friday. Compensation ranges from $28.00-$34.00 per hour, depending on license and experience. Essential Functions

• Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely
• Conduct pre and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
• Communicate effectively with customers to provide top-notch delivery service
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company policies and procedures
• Participate in training sessions and meetings as required

Position Requirements

• Valid, unexpired CDL-A or CDL-B driver’s license
• Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers
• Good math and reading skills
• Understanding of maps and GPS systems
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, sitting, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 70 lbs, bending, twisting, stooping, climbing in and out of the truck, and working in various weather conditions

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years professional driving experience with a CDL truck
• Experience with forklift operations and warehouse equipment preferred
• Valid DOT card
• Knowledgeable about and experience with routing software preferred
