Night Direct Support Professional (11pm-9am)

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. Located in Red Hook, NY, this position is responsible for assisting individuals in daily activities, including health and personal management, achieving personal goals, recreation, and daily household living, as well as maintaining a safe and therapeutic treatment environment that meets the physical, emotional, and personal needs of program individuals while improving functioning and minimizing interfering behaviors.

As a Night Direct Support Professional at Devereux, you’ll work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. You’ll have the opportunity to teach at-risk youth valuable life skills and be a positive role model in a fun, fast-paced, and supportive environment where you can participate in the treatment planning process.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in daily activities, including health and personal management.
• Support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Facilitate recreation and daily household living.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic treatment environment.
• Address physical, emotional, and personal needs of program individuals.
• Work to improve functioning and minimize interfering behaviors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of related experience OR an Associate's Degree with 1 year of related experience.
• Valid NY Driver's License.
• Flexible, patient, energetic, creative, and a sense of humor.
• Strong passion for working with and helping children and adults with special needs.

Pay

• With HS Diploma/GED: $20.00 - $21.40 per hour.
• With BA/BS: $21.00 - $22.47 per hour.
• With MA/MS or higher: $22.00 - $23.54 per hour.

Schedule

• Overnights (11pm-9am), including weekends.
