Night Custodian - Winter 26.27 Seasonal - Part Time

About the role

If you love working nights—this is a great gig for you! Shifts are 3 pm–11 pm or 5 pm–1 am. This position is required to work weekends and holidays. Preference given to those who have professional cleaning experience and ski/snowboard experience at an intermediate ability level.

Responsibilities

• General janitorial duties for Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation office and on-mountain outlets
• Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp Service Excellence standards
• Provide clean and sanitary restrooms, halls, lobbies and dining areas; scrub and sanitize urinals, toilets, stalls, sinks, walls and mop floors in restrooms
• Vacuum floors, hallways, lobbies, landings, stairways, elevators, and dining areas and mop per schedule
• Empty trash in restrooms and lobbies; shine and clean all chrome and stainless fixtures
• Clean all windows and sills of prints, dust and bugs
• Manage keys or key cards to securely unlock and lock buildings and various venues
• Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Professional cleaning experience, preferred
• Communicate both verbally and non-verbally in a positive, guest-friendly manner
• Report to work timely, dressed, and prepared for your daily assignment
• Adhere to all safety policies
• Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s Service Excellence standards
• Employment contingent upon successful completion of a background check
• Must be able to read, write and communicate verbally in the English language

Pay

Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range: $18.50 – $19.50 per hour. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel.

Physical Requirements

• Must be a minimum 18 years of age
• Safely lift approximately 30–50 lbs on a regular basis
• Walk, bend over, and stand for long periods of time
• Climb stairs while carrying vacuum cleaner and other supplies on a recurring basis
• Valid driver’s license and meet insurability standards
• Ski/snowboard experience at the intermediate ability level is preferred

Working Conditions

Indoor/Outdoor: Employee may be exposed to harsh and varying outside weather conditions. Noise level in the workplace is usually moderate.
