Night Auditor - Courtyard by Marriott Hamilton

About the role

As an Overnight Front Desk / Night Auditor at Courtyard by Marriott Hamilton, NJ, you will create first impressions for guests during overnight hours. Your role involves welcoming guests, performing night audit functions, and ensuring accurate hotel accounting to protect the brand and asset against liability and fraud.

Responsibilities

• Work the front desk during overnight hours (11 PM to 7 AM) and assist with overnight check-ins.
• Perform night audit functions, including auditing, balancing, posting, and reporting on front desk, rooms, and food and beverage outlets’ cash and credit operations.
• Reset registers to ensure accurate, timely function and optimal operations management.
• Provide rooms management with performance data gathered during audits.
• Run the night audit final after ensuring all revenue is in balance.
• Operate Briad systems and software, as well as general office equipment.
• Communicate effectively and courteously over the telephone and in person.
• Lift, pull, and push moderate weight (minimum of 20 lbs); occasionally lift luggage up to 50 pounds.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience, preferably in a hotel or related field.
• Ability to work overnight shifts (11 PM to 7 AM) on a varied schedule throughout the week.
• Attention to detail and ability to compile facts and figures.
• Strong command of the English language (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Accounting background preferred.
