About the Role
As the overnight leader of the hotel, the Night Audit Manager helps create memorable guest experiences by providing attentive service, resolving challenges with care, and ensuring smooth, efficient operations throughout the night. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, making an impact, and setting the stage for the next day’s success.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional guest service and serve as the overnight Manager on Duty, resolving guest concerns, operational issues, and emergencies as needed.
- Perform all night audit functions, including balancing daily revenue, auditing transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Follow established cash handling procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
- Generate, review, and distribute required daily financial, operational, and management reports.
- Review guest accounts, master bills, and billing activities to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies or missed revenue opportunities.
- Monitor overnight hotel operations, including arrivals, departures, room inventory, and special guest requests.
- Coordinate with other departments to address overnight operational needs and ensure a smooth transition to daytime operations.
- Maintain the safety and security of guests, colleagues, and hotel assets by following established procedures and responding to incidents as necessary.
- Communicate significant guest, operational, and financial issues to hotel leadership through daily reporting and shift hand-offs.
- Support training and development efforts while promoting service excellence, accountability, and teamwork.
Requirements
- High school Diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of guest service experience, preferably in a hospitality setting.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the hotel for extended periods.
- Full knowledge of accounting operations.
- Excellent communication skills (oral & written).
- Computer literate; strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) preferred.
- Experience with Delphi, Agilysys, and Opera Cloud hotel automation systems preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Warm, personable, and energetic demeanor with professional and pleasant phone manners.
Pay
The hourly wage range for this role is $21–$27 per hour.
