Night Audit

Part-time position (Saturday & Sunday only) in Santa Barbara, CA.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Greet arriving guests and complete check-in procedures to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Facilitate guest departures, close guest accounts, and determine future room availability.
• Calculate and post monies, receipts, guest accounts, and credit using proper cash handling methods.
• Answer inquiries and accept reservations in person and over the phone using reservation guidelines.
• Communicate hotel rates and information, use suggestive selling techniques, and create value for guests.
• Maintain guest relations by staying informed about in-house and area functions to answer questions.
• Operate PBX equipment, manage incoming/outgoing calls, set wake-up calls, and assist guests.
• Control and balance cash and credit transactions at the front desk, maintaining responsibility for personal bank.
• Close hotel books nightly by running the night audit final after ensuring all revenues are balanced.
