Job Summary and Qualifications

The NICU Registered Nurse (RN) delivers quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for the care of coupled postpartum mother/baby combinations or other clinical care duties as assigned. The NICU RN directs all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice and federal, state, and local regulations. The NICU RN incorporates knowledge of patient's age-specific development and cultural values into the plan of care. The NICU RN contributes to quality nursing care through process improvement techniques and multidisciplinary collaboration.

• Direct supervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
• STABLE within 6 months of employment start date.
• (RN) Registered Nurse.
• Associate Degree.
• Neonate Resuscitate, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program Instructor within 90 days of employment start date.
