Position Details

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to NICU patients in accordance with established standards and protocols.
  • Monitor, assess, and document the condition and progress of neonates under your care.
  • Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and interventions while ensuring patient safety.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate and support parents and families regarding the care and condition of their newborns.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory guidelines, and professional ethics.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Active California Registered Nurse License at time of hire.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification through the American Academy of Pediatrics.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in a NICU or similar acute care setting.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • 2 or more years of NICU nursing experience.
  • Experience with Level III or Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Units.
  • Specialty certification in Neonatal Nursing (RNC-NIC) or Critical Care Nursing.
  • Strong skills in family-centered care, critical thinking, and crisis management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced environments.
