NICU PRN Nurse
About the Role
NICU Nurse Registered Nurses provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about various health conditions, and provide emotional support to patients and their family members. RNs must use independent and reasonable judgment in delivering a wide variety of services within the scope of nursing practice.
Most common diagnoses include respiratory distress, prematurity, hypoglycemia, apnea, bradycardia, sepsis, temperature instability, and hyperbilirubinemia.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served as per Scope of Service.
- Promote customer service initiatives.
- Utilize the nursing process for individual care to meet patient needs.
- Demonstrate ability to perform technical skills and procedures.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
- Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or other acceptable Board of Nursing.
- Current BLS certification (other certifications as required per Provision of Care for area of employment).
- NRP Certification within 90 days of hire.
- STABLE certification within 6 months of hire.
- 1 year of RN experience required.
- NICU experience required.

About the Facility
