NICU PRN Nurse
About the role
The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. Utilizing therapeutic communication, maintaining a safe therapeutic environment, and identifying nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient are key responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Utilize therapeutic communication in daily practice
- Maintain a safe therapeutic environment
- Identify nursing problems related to patient needs
- Document all patient care
- Perform technical skills, follow procedures, and demonstrate critical thinking
- Provide care and coordinate participation that fosters the hospital's mission and vision
Requirements
- Accredited School of Professional Nursing (B.S. or A.S.) degree
- 1 year of RN experience
- NICU experience preferred
- BLS certification
- Credentialing by Kentucky Board of Nursing or Compact State
Qualifications
- Current licensure by Kentucky Board of Nursing or Compact State
