NICU Monitor Tech - Neonatal ICU - Night Shift

About the role

Has a basic working knowledge of all unit functions and is responsible for performing clerical duties and maintaining and organizing all necessary equipment and supplies in the Neonatal ICU. Coordinates with nursing staff regarding each telemetry patient's assigned telemetry and admits/discharges patients on telemetry monitors. Notifies RN about heart rate and rhythm when patients are off telemetry and/or pulse oximetry. Keeps current and updated information on telemetry logs. Responsible for adjusting telemetry monitor screens when notified by the RN.

Additional duties may include scheduling appointments, charging, compiling and copying medical charts, reports, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical duties and maintain/organize equipment and supplies
• Coordinate with nursing staff regarding telemetry assignments for patients
• Admit and discharge patients on telemetry monitors
• Notify RN about heart rate and rhythm when patients are off telemetry and/or pulse oximetry
• Maintain current and updated telemetry logs
• Adjust telemetry monitor screens as directed by RN
• Schedule appointments, handle charging, and compile/copy medical charts and reports

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• Previous Nurse Assistant experience (Preferred)

• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Basic computer skills
• Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 90 days of hire (Preferred)

Schedule

36 hours per week, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (Night Shift)
