About the Role

UW Health Northern Illinois seeks an experienced Neonatologist to join our 32-bed Level III NICU team in the Women’s & Children’s Hospital in Rockford, Illinois. Our Level III NICU is staffed 24/7 by a Neonatologist and Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, who are part of a multidisciplinary team of caregivers providing excellent and cost-effective care to our smallest patients.

In this autonomous position, you will enjoy a practice which includes rounding to discuss and establish plan of care, performance of invasive procedures, and opportunities to participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education.

Your clinical support includes:

  • Team of 7 neonatologists and 4 NNPs
  • Over a dozen pediatric sub-specialists from UW Health available for consultation and collaboration
  • MFM collaboration and 24-hour in-house OB hospitalist

Responsibilities

  • Rounding to discuss and establish plan of care
  • Performance of invasive procedures
  • Participation in quality improvement initiatives and staff education

Requirements

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal Perinatal Medicine
  • Active Illinois medical license and DEA license, or ability to secure these prior to hire

Pay

Salary Range: $366,579 - $437,849 (based on experience)
