Physician - Neonatologist
About the role
We are seeking an energetic and passionate board-certified/board eligible Neonatologist to join our growing Ochsner Neonatology Team and serve as Medical Director or Associate Medical Director at one of our community Level III NICU located on the Northshore of beautiful Lake Pontchartrain.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care to neonatal patients in a Level III NICU setting.
- Participate in the Vermont Oxford Network and eligible to participate in Ochsner system-based neonatal QI projects.
- Lead and mentor a team of neonatal professionals.
- Contribute to educational initiatives for residents and fellows.
- Engage in research and publication activities.
Requirements
- Board certification in Pediatrics and Neonatology.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-residency experience in neonatology.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree.
- Current license to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana.
- Experience with neonatal intensive care unit management.
- Strong interest in academic medicine and research.
