NFWS Campus Safety Department - Safety Aide (2026/2027)

About the Role

Under the direction of the Student Worker Coordinator and Campus Safety Aide, the Campus Safety Aide Student Employee will assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• Strong sense of responsibility; must be dependable and reliable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, a pleasant disposition, and an ability to communicate with diplomacy and tact in sensitive situations.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Must be bright and resourceful.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently.
• Ability to handle multiple, simultaneous responsibilities in often stressful situations.
• Ability and willingness to work a wide variety of shifts, including late night/early morning hours and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license with a favorable driving record.
• Must be a ULV student.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in data entry and retrieval.
• Strong customer service background.
• Interest in public safety.

Schedule

Campus Safety Aides may be scheduled for various rotating shifts, including weekends and night shifts, by the Department of Campus Safety for up to 20 hours per week. During summer, winter, and spring breaks, hours may increase to 28 hours per week.
