NF/Classified HS Lacrosse Assistant Coach

Responsibilities

• Complete the NFHS “Fundamentals of Coaching” and “First Aid, Health, & Safety for Coaches” courses prior to assuming the position.
• For coaches who have completed the ASEP Coaches Education Course before May 15, 2013, NFHS courses are not mandatory.
• Keep a certificate of the State Law (https://tssaa.org/health-safety-policies) and TSSAA/TMSAA (https://tssaa.org/health-safety-policies) requirements.
• Keep copies of the concussion and Sudden Cardiac Arrest certificates on file annually.
• When applicable, keep copies of the “Fundamentals of Coaching” and “First Aid, Health, & Safety” certificates on file.
• When applicable, keep copies of the “NFHS Heat Illness Prevention” course certificate on file every year.
• All coaches must complete the NFHS COVID-19 Course (Link: https://nfhslearn.com/courses/covid-19-for-coaches-and-administrators).
