About the role
Cover breaking news and general news assignments, local meetings, develop web content, and assist with page design/layout.
Requirements
- Degree and/or experience in Journalism, English, or Creative Writing
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Superior writing skills with limited supervision
- Self-motivated and eager to produce quickly and accurately
- Excellent PC, organization, and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
Nice-to-have
- Some photography experience
Pay
$13–$15 per hour
Schedule
37.5 hours per week
