Responsibilities
- Produce and write the station's nightly 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts.
- Build accurate, compelling, and visually engaging rundowns.
- Write clear, conversational copy for broadcast.
- Edit video using Adobe Premiere.
- Collaborate with reporters, anchors, meteorologists, photographers, and directors to execute high-quality newscasts.
- Communicate effectively with newsroom managers throughout each shift.
- Make strong editorial decisions during breaking news and severe weather coverage.
- Keep broadcasts updated throughout the evening with the latest developments.
- Ensure accuracy, fairness, and journalistic integrity in every story.
- Publish content to the station website and social media platforms, embracing a true digital-first workflow.
- Find creative ways to make every newscast fresh, relevant, and engaging for viewers.
