Newscast Producer
About the role
Responsible for the day-to-day production of newscasts. Works closely with the Executive Producer, Director, Assignment Desk and Anchors on the newscast and its content. Determines the content and flow of newscasts, works with management and on-air staff to generate and write stories and develops content for the web site.

Requirements
- Solid news judgment
- Compelling and accurate writing skills
- Able to multitask and manage time
- Fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Execute news strategies and goals in daily newscasts
- Flexibility and on-the-spot problem-solving abilities
- Proficient with non-linear editing (i.e. Avid) and newsroom systems, such as iNews Experience
Qualifications
- At least some previous news producing experience at a commercial TV station
- Journalism degree preferred

Pay
The hourly compensation range for this role is $21.63 to $24.87. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
