Newscast Director

WGME is looking for a Director for our Newscast. The perfect candidate will have experience with iNews and Ross Overdrive, be a team player who works across departments to ensure success, and demonstrate a passion for local news through clean, tight newscasts.

Responsibilities

• Direct and TD any assigned newscasts and productions
• Create graphics daily using Photoshop and Deko
• Train production crew in cameras, audio, graphics, etc.
• Supervise production crew on a daily basis
• Maintain production studio and control room
• Perform other production duties as assigned, which may include website contribution

Requirements

• Experience directing and TDing newscasts
• Knowledge of production standards and equipment
• Full working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Ability to clearly give direction to crew while under pressure
• Strong typing and spelling skills
• Ability to read and write; college degree preferred
• Must be able to lift and position 40-pound lighting instruments

Pay

The base hourly compensation range for this role is $19.48 to $22.12. Final compensation will be determined by relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
