Responsibilities
- Perform any production duties as assigned including:
- Perform maintenance on production studio and control room
- Contribute to website as assigned
Requirements
- Must be able to direct
- Knowledge of Ross Overdrive or equivalent automated systems - helpful
- Possess a working knowledge of NRCS (preferably ENPS), video servers, graphic playout systems (preferably Ross Carbonite), video routers, switchers, robotic cameras, and wireless lavalier microphones
- Stage manager experience is a plus
- A strong sense of newscast structure, significant hands-on experience operating in a computer assisted environment, the ability to work well under pressure, exceptional organizational skills and the ability to easily adapt to breaking news situations
- Live directing and/or switching experience and knowledge of switcher concepts is helpful
- Knowledge of production standards and equipment
- Full working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- To clearly give direction to crew while under pressure
- Typing and good spelling skills necessary
- Ability to read and write, college degree preferred
- Must be able to lift & position 40 pound lighting instruments
