Fox TV Stations owns and operates 29 full-power broadcast television stations in the U.S., including stations in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas (DMAs) and duopolies in 11 DMAs, such as New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. Eighteen of these stations are affiliated with the FOX Network. The stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week and leverage viewer, distributor, and advertiser demand for FOX Network’s national content.
About the Role
Line produce and write for fast-paced, high story-count, local, live newscasts. Responsibilities include copy editing, desktop editing for voiceovers/sound-on-tape (VO/SOTs), and building graphic elements.
Responsibilities
- Write and produce segments within a newscast in a major market.
- Fill-in line producing for news shows.
- Lead editorial meetings and interface with reporters and anchors.
- Provide editorial guidance under tight deadlines.
- Work flexible hours and shifts, including overnights and weekends.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience writing and fill-in line producing for a news show in a major market.
- Creativity and ability to work well under pressure.
- Must join the WGA East union.
Pay
$47.10–$50.41 per hour, with final offer dependent on education, skills, experience, and applicable union collective bargaining agreement.
