Job Summary/Description
- Responsible for shooting and editing video and sound for all Hawaii News Now multimedia platforms
- Display competence in videography and video editing
- Capable of gathering news as part of a team or on your own
- Maintain assigned gear, operate ENG trucks and bonded cellular live devices (Live U)
- Post on all Hawaii News Now digital platforms, edit digital video, as well as operate other mobile live devices
- Drive a company vehicle and any other duties as assigned
Duties/Responsibilities
Must be willing to embrace emerging technology, such as smartphone live capabilities and digital editing. Must be able to carry 50 lbs. a minimum of five (5) feet. The successful candidate is a team player, reliable with initiative, and has excellent communication skills. Must be able to troubleshoot on the fly and problem solve under pressure.
Qualifications/Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience as a television photographer / editor in a top 125 market
- Flexible work hours required; must be willing and able to work a variety of shifts including but not limited to: mornings, afternoons, evenings, late nights, holidays, weekends and possible overtime hours
- Willing to work in Honolulu, HI
- Good driving record and drug screen are required
