News Producer
Fox TV Stations owns and operates 29 full-power broadcast television stations in the U.S., including stations in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas (DMAs) and duopolies in 11 DMAs. The stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week and leverage demand for FOX Network’s national content.
About the role
KDFW FOX 4, the news leader in North Texas, is seeking a high-energy, creative News Producer to join its award-winning team. This role offers the opportunity to work in the #4 media market in the country, with a move to a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility featuring the latest broadcasting technology later this year.
Responsibilities
- Produce all elements of linear and streaming newscasts, including leads, stories, teases, and breakouts.
- Lead coverage and execution of live and breaking news events.
- Manage live streaming coverage of breaking news, live events, press conferences, and original programming for FOX LOCAL apps and social platforms.
- Demonstrate strong editorial knowledge while collaborating with newsroom, digital, social, and production teams to align coverage and workflows across platforms.
- Distribute and optimize content across FOX LOCAL apps, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, and emerging platforms with an emphasis on growth and engagement.
- Use news computer systems and apply knowledge of television and digital production techniques.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or Communications.
- Three to five years of television news experience in a medium to major market.
- Strong writing and show production skills.
- Excellent communication skills, solid news judgment, and strong research/data recovery skills.
- Ability to work and perform well under intense deadline pressure.

Pay
The pay range for this role is $70,000.00–$75,000.00 annually, with the final offer dependent on education, skills, experience, and location.
