About the role
KSTU, the Fox affiliate in Salt Lake City, Utah, owned by The E.W. Scripps Company, is seeking a News Photographer.
Responsibilities
- Capture and edit visual content for multiple platforms.
- Operate and maintain live equipment including microwave, satellite, and related news-gathering equipment.
- Work in tandem with newsroom personnel to create and develop news stories.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Average of 2+ years of experience in related field preferred.
- Associate's degree in related discipline preferred.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with lighting and computer-based editing.
- Proficiency with live microwave truck operation.
- Knowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgment, journalistic ethics, and libel laws.
- Knowledge and proficiency in posting content to station's websites.
- Able to work efficiently under multiple deadlines daily.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with the company-required insurance limits.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $60,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is typically Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
