Job Summary/Description
WIS is looking for a motivated, multiskilled Editor/Photojournalist to join our top-rated news team. Candidates must display competence in video editing and shooting video on professional cameras. This is a part-time position that includes weekends.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Edit video for newscasts using non-linear editing systems (Edius, Premiere Pro, or similar)
- Operate professional cameras, microphones, and basic lighting equipment
- Maintain equipment
- Shoot and edit video as assigned
- Gather and submit information and visuals for digital platforms
- Execute live shots using LiveU and ENG technology
- Contribute to the entire editorial process, including sourcing, enterprising, gathering, story construction, and presentation
Qualifications/Requirements
- College degree preferred
- Two years of related experience
- Candidate must have a proven ability to post content on social media platforms
- Working knowledge of non-linear editing systems
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Flexible work hours required
- Must be willing and able to work a variety of shifts, including but not limited to: mornings, afternoons, evenings, late nights, holidays, and weekends
- Able to work in varied environments
- Must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record
