News Anchor

Job Summary

The successful candidate will serve as the Co-Anchor of WMBD and WYZZ's morning newscasts. They will be responsible for presenting news stories and other content across all platforms, developing stories, and engaging with the community.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field or equivalent work experience
• Minimum two years' experience in news anchoring and two years of on-camera news reporting
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Superior on-air presence and news judgment
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment
• Flexibility to work any shift

Skills

• Fluency in English
• Ability to identify developmental needs and coach/motivate others
• Ability to prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to effectively listen and communicate with a team
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
