News 12 Supervisor - Studio Operations
Job Summary
News 12 is seeking a driven Supervisor, Studio Operations to lead a team of talented newscast directors. The role involves supervising, coordinating schedules, directing newscasts, and working closely with production, engineering, and editorial teams.
Responsibilities
- Supervise team of studio directors
- Cook up studio and staff schedules
- Direct newscasts and special productions, as needed
- Ensure high quality video productions
- Collaborate with Sr Director, Network News Technology and Studio Operations for day-to-day and long-term planning
- Work with Engineering to maintain equipment and facility
- Respond to breaking news and other urgent situations as required
- Hire, coach, train staff members and build strong teams
Qualifications
- Experience in television control rooms and studios, preferably with studio automation systems like GrassValley Ignite
- Previous experience as a newscast director required
- Understanding of video switchers and ability to create and modify effects
- Working knowledge of ENPS or other newsroom software
- Previous supervisory experience preferred

Pay and Schedule
The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $77,112.00 - $126,684.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
