About the role

The New York office of Clifford Chance has an opening for a Senior Trade Finance Associate Attorney in the Firm’s Debt Finance Group. We advise borrowers, lenders and arrangers on corporate finance and investment grade lending. This includes syndicated, club and bilateral loans, revolving credit facilities, private placements and acquisition financings. We also advise on bridge facilities (including pre-IPO financings), equity take-out structures, margin lending, export credit and other trade finance facilities, and public sector and private banking financing.

Responsibilities

• Advise borrowers, lenders, and arrangers on corporate finance and investment grade lending, including syndicated, club, and bilateral loans.
• Handle revolving credit facilities, private placements, and acquisition financings.
• Provide counsel on bridge facilities (including pre-IPO financings), equity take-out structures, margin lending, export credit, and other trade finance facilities.
• Work on public sector and private banking financing.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
• High academic achievement.
• Admitted to (or eligible to waive into) the New York Bar.
• Prior experience in a peer law firm.
• Strong interest in the subject area, entrepreneurial, and a team-player.

Preferred class years: 2019-2021. Submissions must include a resume and law school transcript(s).

Pay

The salary range for this role is $365,000-$420,000. Actual salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
