Responsibilities
- Maintains facility by sweeping hallways, stairs, and storage spaces, including restroom areas
- Cleans snow and debris from sidewalk, mows lawn, trims shrubbery, and cultivates flowers
- Maintains buildings, which includes performing minor and routine painting and other related maintenance activities
- Notifies management concerning needs for major repairs
- Maintains building accessibility
- Works to maintain operational continuity between shifts
- Safely transport customer goods to and from specific locations in a timely manner
- Properly maintain company vehicle with regular cleanings and maintenance
- Ensure that the vehicle and the belongings inside are properly secured at all times
- Report any accidents, injuries, and/or vehicle damage to management immediately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 2 + years custodial, maintenance, or grounds keeping experience
- Valid driver’s license with at least 1 year of driving experience
- Clean driving record as verified via MVR check
- Excellent navigation skills including ability to effectively use navigation applications to find locations in order to manage travel time
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to apply common sense and logic to solve problems
- Ability to make basic repairs using simple tools and equipment
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical office setting with occasional field work.
- Frequent: Squatting, kneeling, reach above and at shoulder height, climbing up and down a ladder, performing various maintenance duties (i.e. sweeping, painting, replacing light bulbs, and roof inspections); lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs. from below waist to above shoulders and transporting items from one end of a facility to the other end, which averages around 500 feet.
- Sitting in a vehicle driver’s seat for extended periods of time.
- Vision: Ability to see in the normal visual range with or without correction.
- Hearing: Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
Compensation
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour depending on experience plus bonus opportunities
