New York - Restructuring & Insolvency Associate (Junior-Level)

About the role

The New York office of Reed Smith is seeking a Junior Associate to join the Restructuring & Insolvency group. The associate will focus on lender, agent, and company‑side workout and enforcement representations, working within a broad and diverse creditors’ rights, bankruptcy, and insolvency practice and gaining experience across the full range of matters handled by the group.

Qualifications

• Active member of the New York Bar.
• Experience or strong interest in debt finance, corporate trust, and Chapter 11 or Chapter 15 bankruptcy matters.
• Bankruptcy Court clerkship or related experience is highly valued.

Compensation

Anticipated salary range: $225,000 – $235,000. Actual pay may vary based on factors such as location and experience.
