Job Summary
Acknowledged for excellence in commercial truck sales and leasing, Ascendance Truck Centers seeks a full-time, customer-focused Truck Sales Account Manager. This role requires a proven track record in sales, particularly in the transportation sector, or a willingness to develop such skills.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and engage prospective truck fleets, offering assistance or guidance where needed.
- Provide detailed explanations of product performance, applications, and benefits to potential customers.
- Detail all optional equipment, bodies, and rigging available for customer purchases.
- Conduct high-quality, professional, and knowledgeable presentations and demonstrations of various truck types, including medium-duty, heavy-duty, and severe service trucks.
- Effectively overcome objections and successfully close sales, adhering to company standards.
- Evaluate customer needs rather than relying on emotional selling techniques.
- Help customers specify their needs by asking pertinent questions and listening attentively to their responses.
- Build strong, lasting relationships with customers.
- Regularly report on objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses to the Sales Director.
- Utilize a Customer Management System (CRM) effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of integrity.
- Professional demeanor during negotiations and interactions.
- Strong ability to earn a significant portion of compensation through commissions.
- Outgoing personality, especially adept at handling objections and negotiating pricing.
- Enthusiastic and energetic throughout the sales workday.
Basic Qualifications
- Proven sales experience, preferably in the transportation industry.
- At least one year of sales experience, or a bachelor’s degree in Sales/Marketing or a related field, may be considered in lieu of experience.
- CDL license or willingness to obtain one within the first year of employment.
Licenses/Education/Training
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales/Marketing or a related field.
- One year of sales experience, or a combination of relevant education and experience, may be considered.
- Willingness to obtain a CDL within the first year of employment.
