New Store Opening - Sales, Cashier or Stock - Brunswick Square Rack

About the role

We are hiring for multiple roles at our new Nordstrom Rack store. Positions include Sales, Cashier, and Stock departments. Interested candidates can apply and discuss preferred roles during the interview process.

Responsibilities

  • Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting customers and taking them to their fitting rooms, then sorting and returning clothing to the floor
  • Tell customers about upcoming events, Nordstrom gift cards, Nordstrom Rewards program, and mailing list
  • Organize and return merchandise to the stockrooms, ensuring proper checking in and accurate ticketing
  • Work with the team to keep the sale's floor "runway ready" through re-merchandising and straightening
  • Receive, unload freight, unpack, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments
  • Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards
  • Prepare and ship customer’s orders following quality, packing, and shipping standards
  • Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with our inventory control processes
  • Maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
  • Provide general support to the store, e.g., set up special events, organize backroom, markdowns, and relocate store fixtures

Requirements

  • Enthusiasm for making a new venture successful
  • Accountability, initiative, and a high level of ownership
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks
  • A calm head in a busy retail environment
  • The ability to use a variety of technology and new computer applications
  • The ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds (Stock Support Role)
  • The ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a retail environment is a plus
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Computer literacy

Pay

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.80 per hour. Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

  • Los Angeles and San Francisco applicants must comply with background check and fair chance ordinance requirements.
