About the role

The New Products Lab Developer will work on a team reporting to the Flavor Lab Manager. In this role, you will support new product development through design and production of prototypes, lead process improvement efforts, and assist product managers with new product projects. You will use basic lab instrumentation as well as manage sample production.

Responsibilities

• Execute the innovation process
• Support new product development through design and production of prototypes
• Lead process improvement efforts within the lab
• Assist project managers with new product development projects
• Manage sample production and benchtop samples in a fast-paced environment
• Apply knowledge to monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and improve processes
• Analyze samples using basic lab instrumentation
• Maintain sample and ingredient inventories and SOPs
• Manage incoming documentation
• Promote and encourage safe working practices
• Gain exposure to senior leaders, including formal presentation of projects
• Coordinate day-to-day responsibilities among team members
• Assist with long-term growth and sustainability of the lab

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, science, or related discipline
• Solid interpersonal skills and team orientation
• Technical and problem-solving skills
• Leadership skills, comfort with change, and ability to lead change
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays

Pay

$26.00 per hour
